COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHER

I'm Gorka Di Capitan. Photography is where I started, and it's still most of what fills my calendar: food and interiors for restaurants, portraits and product shots for everyone else. I work out of Edinburgh, and so does almost everyone on my client list.
I've been shooting The Dome since early 2021: five years of campaigns, seasonal menus and key dates like Burns Night and New Year's Eve. Foresters Guild by Portobello beach, The Mallard in Gullane, Tiles Bar, The Bailie in Stockbridge, Jackson The Tailor on Leith Street. Different rooms, different light. Same job: make the room look the way it feels to actually sit in it.

WHAT I PHOTOGRAPH
Food, drinks, interiors and the atmosphere that makes someone book a table. I've shot the Sunday roast menu at Foresters Guild in Portobello, the bedrooms at The Mallard in Gullane, and the full rebrand for Beirut Restaurant, where the new photography and website pushed their traffic up 79%.
Product photography built to sell on a listing page. Don Algodón's Amazon launch, shot on location in Glasgow, passed 3,500 sales after it went live.
One-off nights, photographed so you actually remember them afterwards: a Gessi showcase at The Ivy on the Square, DRIP at Terminal V, the Moulin Rouge after-party inside The Dome.
For people who need a face to put next to their name. Ehab Ali has been a regular since 2022, and the work has grown well beyond personal content, into campaigns for River Island and Next.
