MY WORK WITH THE DOME
The Dome is one of the most iconic hospitality venues in Scotland: a Grade A listed building in the heart of Edinburgh with multiple bars, dining rooms and private event spaces.
I have been their official photographer and videographer since 2021, and since 2024 over 90% of the content published across their social media channels has been created by me. That includes more than 20 campaigns, seasonal content, menu photography, key date coverage from New Year's Eve to Burns Night, private event documentation and brand collaboration shoots with names like Diplomatico Rum, Creed Perfume, Hendrick's Gin and Botanic Garden Gin. As their food and cocktail offering has evolved, so has the visual language around it, pushing the creative boundaries of each shoot while staying true to the identity of the venue.
Five years working inside one of Edinburgh's most recognisable venues, understanding the brand, the space and the audience well enough to produce content that consistently performs. The Dome is one of the venues I work with most regularly, and the galleries on this page are only a reduced selection: you can keep exploring my work with them on The Dome's Instagram.

Christmas at The Dome is an Edinburgh institution. Every winter the building disappears under one of the most famous festive displays in the country, crowned by the giant tree that rises in the middle of the bar, and people travel from all over Scotland just to stand under it.
We had planned a Santa breakfast photoshoot. The day before, I pitched something bigger: a VFX film where The Dome sits abandoned in the snow until Santa walks in, clicks his fingers and brings the whole place back to life, lights, garlands and the great tree, the Christmas spirit of The Dome returning in a single moment.
Shot in one morning alongside the original campaign, the film became the venue's flagship Christmas piece for 2025.

BURNS NIGHT AT THE DOME
Burns Night is one of the biggest dates on The Dome's calendar: a full Scottish supper under the dome with pipers, a ceremonial haggis and a night of ceilidh dancing that runs long after the last dram of Macallan is poured. I cover it every year end to end, from the piper's entrance to the last dance.

THE BOTANIST X THE DOME
For The Botanist we turned The Dome into a tableside martini experience: a branded trolley rolling across the floor, martinis stirred to order under the dome and finished with a twist of lemon. I photographed the full campaign, from the crafted serves and still lifes on the cart to the bartender at work and the guests' reactions.

SEASONAL CAMPAIGNS & EVENTS

A year at The Dome never repeats itself, and this mix gathers the campaigns and moments in between the big shoots: Mother's Day serves with French Bloom and cotton candy clouds, margarita month with Patron, breakfast and afternoon tea at the Clubroom, the Tea Room with its Hendrick's serves under the clock tower, World Book Day, private dining in the Green Room, matcha cocktails, the beer taps in full swing, whisky tastings and Creed perfume for Father's Day, Woodford Reserve cocktails, Wimbledon with Pimm's on the grass, summer serves with Edinburgh Gin and Highland Park, a wedding under the dome and even National Cheesecake Day.
Every one of these shoots was planned, styled, photographed and delivered for The Dome's social media and marketing channels in Edinburgh.

2025 AT THE DOME
A look back at 2025: the year's cocktail relaunch, the new food menu, spring and summer campaigns, Wimbledon, a whisky festival with The Macallan, the venue's architectural details, the Moulin Rouge cast after-party and Christmas with Santa at The Dome.

2025 opened with a full relaunch: a new Classic Cocktails menu and a new food menu shot across January, followed by a spring cocktail campaign, Mother's Day, summer serves with Hendrick's and Bacardi, Wimbledon with strawberries and champagne, a whisky festival built around The Macallan, and MEGA MIX moments from the tap wall to the Hogmanay front page. In between, I spent two days documenting the building itself, from the stained glass to the mosaic floors, and covered the Moulin Rouge UK Musical cast after-party held at the venue. The year closed the way it always does at The Dome: Santa arriving under the giant Christmas tree, the Tea Room dressed for the season and gifts wrapped under the lights.
Campaigns, seasonal menus, brand collaborations and five years of key dates: this is what a long-term photography partnership with a landmark venue looks like. If yours needs one, let's start the conversation.
