PRODUCTION
I'm Gorka Di Capitan, a videographer based in Edinburgh, and music videos are where I get to push the furthest: concept, filming, editing, colour and, when the track calls for it, full CGI and VFX.
A music video has one job: to make the song bigger. Sometimes that means a clean performance video where the artist and the light do all the talking. Sometimes it means putting six CGI goblins on a street in the south of Spain, which is exactly what happened in Los Duendes for El Killo, still one of my favourite projects to date.
I've made videos for artists in Scotland and in Spain: El Killo's Los Duendes, Notre Dame and Geriatrico, Nobody Knows for Chef The Rapper, Heavy Energy, Me Extranaba for Robert Rufino and Morena for Nelson Mvndelv. Different genres and very different budgets, and each video built to feel like the artist, not like a template.
Most productions happen in Edinburgh and around Scotland, but I shoot across the UK and abroad. If you have a track, a date and an idea, or just the track and the date, let's talk about the idea together.
WHAT GOES INTO A VIDEO
From a one-location performance video to a full narrative treatment. We build the concept around the track, the artist and the budget, in that order.
Creatures, impossible shots and worlds that don't exist. Los Duendes put CGI goblins on a real street and the video still gets comments about how it was made.
Cutting to the beat is the minimum. The edit sets the energy of the whole video, and the grade gives it a look people recognise as yours from the first frame.
Beyond the video itself: cover shots, behind the scenes and vertical cuts for reels and TikTok, so the release week has content from day one.
WHO THIS IS FOR
For artists, bands and labels that want a video matching the ambition of the track: a single that needs a proper visual, an EP that needs a signature look or a release that deserves more than a lyric video.
Budget shapes the plan, it doesn't kill it. Some of my favourite videos were made with small crews and big ideas, and I'll always tell you honestly what's achievable with what you have.

I treat every video as a director, not just an operator. I'll push back on ideas that won't survive the edit, fight for the ones that will, and take the track home until I know it well enough to cut to it blind. The artists I work with keep coming back, and El Killo has trusted me with three videos so far.
Doing production and post under one roof changes what's possible. Because I shoot knowing exactly how I'll edit, grade and add VFX, we can attempt shots that a split crew would call too risky, and the budget goes into the screen instead of the handovers.
And I care about the release, not just the file. A video that drops with no teasers, no verticals and no cover content wastes half its power. I deliver the video and the ammunition around it.
