COMMERCIAL VIDEOGRAPHER
IN EDINBURGH

I'm Gorka Di Capitan. On plenty of weeks I'm behind a camera that's rolling rather than a shutter: reels for restaurants and bars, brand films, event coverage, the occasional music video. Most of it happens right here in Edinburgh.

Jackson The Tailor gets a new shoot every month, photo and video together, with drone footage added for bigger campaigns. Tapas 3 on Howden Street has settled into a similar rhythm since early 2026: monthly reels, plus backstage coverage of a flamenco company during this year's Fringe. The Dome is the longest relationship of the lot: official photographer and videographer there since early 2021. Three of my videos, covering New Year's Eve and Burns Night at the venue, are still up on their channel.

The music video side goes back furthest. I was assistant director on a Cruzcampo commercial and a La Materialista video, both shot in Seville in 2016 with the same crew. These days it's Kishaolin's Lord Almighty, filmed inside a Scottish cathedral, or El Killo's Los Duendes, which turned into a Pixar-style CGI world in the edit. The process stays the same: shoot, then edit.

Monthly video for restaurants and bars, built to actually go out every week. Jackson The Tailor and Tapas 3 both get a new shoot every month; The Dome has had one running since early 2021.

Kishaolin's Lord Almighty, filmed inside a Scottish cathedral. El Killo's Los Duendes, which turned a straightforward shoot into a full CGI world in the edit. I started out as assistant director on a Seville shoot in 2016; music videos are still my favourite part of the job.
