WHAT I DO

VISUAL CONTENT
THAT WORKS

Commercial photography and video for hospitality, products and brands. Most of it is made to be used somewhere specific: a menu, a website, a delivery app, a paid campaign. That use decides how it gets shot, whether it's a single product photo or a full campaign production.

SERVICES

I specialise in commercial photography and video for hospitality, products and brands, alongside selected work in events, music, fashion, corporate and personal branding.

Based in Edinburgh, I work across the UK, Spain and Europe, and travel internationally for the right production. My commercial photography and video start at £595 for a one-off shoot in Edinburgh and £395 a month for a venue on a content package, with delivery from 5 working days depending on the scale of the project. Those are starting points, not fixed packages: every client, situation and location gets its own quote, set so it makes commercial sense for you.

Food & Drinks | Photography and Videography

Most orders start with a photo: the dish someone sees on Deliveroo, on the menu or on Instagram before tasting anything. I have spent years making those photos inside working kitchens, from The Dome to Tapas 3, usually without stopping service to get them.

I work with restaurants, bars, cafes and catering businesses to produce food and drink imagery for menus, websites, social media and delivery apps including Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats. Every dish is lit and styled to communicate quality, appetite and brand identity. How the food looks, and what it makes you feel.

Sessions are done on location at your venue or in a studio environment depending on the look you need. I bring all equipment and handle the full process from setup to final retouched files ready to use.

Every food and drink project can also include professional video content. Short-form videos and reels optimised for paid advertising on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, built around the dishes the kitchen is proudest of.

The work can be produced for menus, websites, delivery platforms, social media, printed material and paid campaigns. Menu design and web design are also available as add-ons when the project needs a consistent visual system.

Hotels & Venues | Photography and Videography

A guest scrolling Booking or Instagram at midnight has twenty tabs open and no memory of any of them. What they see in those seconds decides whether they pick you or the hotel next door.

I shoot hotels, rooftops, golf resorts and luxury villas, and the goal is always the same: make whoever is looking at that photo or video feel like they are already there. The light through the window, the atmosphere of the room, the feeling of the place at its best moment. That is what brings people in.

I also produce short-form video content and reels that capture the full experience of the venue, built for social media and paid campaigns.

On top of that I produce full advertising videos for hotels and venues. Cinematic productions built to run as paid ads on Meta, YouTube and digital platforms. And shorter promotional videos designed specifically for the venue website, showcasing rooms, facilities and the overall experience for people who are already considering a stay.

Perfect for hotels, rooftops, golf resorts and luxury villas that want their photos and videos doing the selling. From interior and room photography to reels for social media, cinematic advertising videos for Meta, Google and YouTube, and promotional videos for your website.

Products | Photography and Videography

From bubble tea for Flying Panda to a Pret a Manger launch, no two products I have shot asked for the same light. Each one had to be figured out on its own terms, and that is the part of this work I enjoy most.

I shoot products across the full spectrum. From jewellery, handbags and accessories to beauty and makeup, beverages, packaging, technology, gadgets and automotive. Each category has its own visual logic. The lighting that makes a watch dial come alive is completely different from what makes a perfume bottle look luxurious or what makes a car look powerful. That understanding is what separates product photography that sells from product photography that just documents.

For video I produce product films and campaign content. From clean hero shots to full narrative campaigns with locations, talent and art direction. This includes short-form video optimised for paid ads on Meta, TikTok and YouTube that shows the product properly, in motion and in context.

I work on new product launches, seasonal campaigns and established catalogues across fashion, food and drink, beauty, technology and automotive.

Events | Photography and Videography

Events are live and unrepeatable. The photography and video from an event are the only record that survives. For brands, venues and individuals that record has real value. For marketing, for memory, and for proof of what happened.

I cover corporate events, brand activations, fashion shows, private parties and weddings. The approach is documentary but considered. Capturing the atmosphere, the key moments, the details and the people in a way that tells the story of the day with visual clarity.

For weddings I focus on the emotion and intimacy of the day rather than a checklist of shots. The result is a film or gallery that feels like a genuine document of the experience, not a templated production.

Event video also works as promotional material afterwards: highlight reels and recap videos for paid advertising, social media and the marketing of the next edition.

I cover brand activations, launches, after-parties, weddings and private events where the brief calls for polished documentary coverage. Recent work has ranged from the Moulin Rouge Musical UK after-party to Gessi brand events and private celebrations.

Music Videos | Full Production

A music video is the moment an artist stops being a name and starts being an image. What people see shapes how they hear you, and how they hear you determines whether they follow, share or forget.

I produce music videos for artists across every genre, and I have been inside this world since 2016, when I worked as assistant director on La Materialista's Buenísima for VEVO. The approach always starts with the music and the identity behind it. From there we build a visual world that fits. Narrative, performance, abstract or a combination of all three.

Modern filmmaking and careful colour grading come as standard; when the concept calls for it, productions can also include 3D and VFX. The visuals need to match the ambition of the release.

Productions can scale from focused performance pieces to larger narrative shoots involving locations, crew, VFX and post-production.

Fashion | Photography and Videography

Working with Jackson The Tailor in Edinburgh and with Spanish labels like Don Algodón taught me the same lesson: a fashion image has to be beautiful and it has to mean something. Who wears it, why it matters, why someone should want it.

I work with clothing brands, designers and independent labels across every stage. From established names with seasonal campaigns to new labels building their visual identity from scratch. Lookbooks, product drops, e-commerce catalogues, editorial shoots and brand campaigns.

But fashion is not only for brands. Personal style is a form of identity too. If you are a model building your portfolio, a public figure who needs images that reflect who you are, or simply someone who wants to be seen in a way that feels intentional, this is for you as well.

The direction changes with the person, collection and context. The aim is to build an image that belongs to the brand rather than imposing the same treatment on every shoot.

Corporate | Photography and Videography

Your company already looks like something online, whether anyone decided it or not. The only question is if that image works for you or against you.

I work with businesses of all sizes to produce photography and video that represents the company at the level it deserves. Headshots and team portraits that feel current and confident. Office and workspace photography that communicates culture and environment. Event coverage for conferences, launches and internal productions. And corporate video content built for websites, presentations, recruitment and brand communication.

The work is always professional. But professional does not mean generic. Every business has its own identity and the visuals should reflect that. Not a stock photo version of a company. The real one.

If your business is growing, your visuals should grow with it.

Image & Identity | Photography and Video

Most people who book this session come with the same problem: the images out there do not match the level they actually work at. And for anyone who operates in public, as a creator, entrepreneur, professional or public figure, that gap matters.

I work with individuals who understand that their image is part of their value. People who need photography and video that reflect who they actually are, not a generic corporate headshot or a casual phone photo, but something that communicates personality, credibility and presence at the same time.

This includes personal branding sessions, social media content, professional portraits, behind the scenes material and video content built around your story, your work and the way you want to be known.

If people are going to look you up anyway, give them something accurate.

Digital Presence | Web & Design

After the shoot comes an obvious question: where will all of this live, and how will it look once it gets there?

As part of any project, I work alongside some of the best web designers I know, people who build directly on top of your visuals and brand identity. Affordable, reliable and already briefed on your project, so nothing gets lost between the shoot and the final site.

This is not a standalone service. It is a natural extension of the visual work, for clients who want everything to feel coherent from the first image to the last page.

The photos, the video and the website, finally agreeing with each other.

NOT SURE WHICH ONE FITS?

Tell me what you're building and I'll tell you what it needs. The first conversation is free and there's no commitment.

“It's been a pleasure working with Gorka over the last few years at The City Cafe. Whatever idea I've had, he's always brought it to life, and he's been incredibly helpful when it comes to coming up with concepts and ideas for social media.”
