COCKTAIL BAR PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOJACKSON THE TAILOR

MY WORK WITH JACKSON THE TAILOR
I've been working with Jackson The Tailor since early 2026: Edinburgh's most design-forward cocktail bar on Leith Street, and the only bar in Scotland shortlisted by the British Institute of Interior Designers in 2024.
They came to me with a clear problem: their online presence did not look the way the bar feels. The cocktails at Jackson are small pieces of theatre, and the imagery they had was not doing them justice. What they wanted was simple to say and hard to do: photos and films that make you feel the room before you have set foot in it, and a partner who could keep that standard up month after month.
The venue is built around the golden era of tailoring, where every detail, from the brass fittings to the embroidered menus, has been crafted with intention, and it demands a visual approach with that same level of care. Jackson The Tailor is one of those rare clients who trust my vision completely, giving me the creative freedom to bring my own ideas to life and produce some of my most personal work as a photographer.
We work on a monthly production cycle: every month I shoot photography and video for the bar, with drone work when a campaign calls for it. The material leads their social media first, but it also ends up printed in their menus and running in their advertising, so every session is planned to work across all three.
It is a young partnership and the numbers are already starting to talk: their online reach is now being measured and growing, and the work has become part of the experience itself, on the menus guests hold in their hands and on the ads that bring them through the door.

A cocktail bar that puts this much intention into its brass fittings deserves photography with the same obsession for detail. If your venue is built with that kind of care, I want to hear about it.
