MY WORK WITH NEWSROOM

The Newsroom sits on Leith Street in Edinburgh's east end, minutes from Princes Street, the Playhouse Theatre and Waverley station. It's a bar and eatery with seasonal cocktails, locally sourced food and DJs every weekend. I produce photography and video content for the venue, covering food and menu photography, drinks and cocktail photography and promotional campaign content.

Beyond social media, the photography from these shoots is used by their marketing team across printed menus, promotional posters and commercial signage inside the venue, putting the same images in front of customers both online and in person.

The Newsroom is also part of a wider group of Edinburgh venues I work with regularly, including Jackson The Tailor, the speakeasy cocktail bar directly beneath it on the same site, The Pipers Rest on the Royal Mile and Merchant Tavern. Working across the same group means understanding how venues within one family can each carry a completely distinct visual identity, and creating content that reflects that.
