MY WORK WITH WEST END BRASSERIE

West End Brasserie was an all-day dining destination in Edinburgh's West End, serving brunch, seasonal small plates and an extensive cocktail list in a warm, art-deco inspired dining room on Hope Street.

The venue belonged to the same group as The Dome, and as the group's photographer I was part of the project from opening day in 2024, producing photography and video for their social media, seasonal menu launches and coverage of key Edinburgh events. I was not the only photographer in the early days; over time the visual side settled into my hands. Beneath the dining room sat their late-night cocktail bar, Encore, which I still shoot to this day.

The venue closed its doors in mid-2025 to bring the site's original pub back to life, but the archive remains one of the most complete bodies of work I've built for a single restaurant: everything from weekend brunch to fine dining, and every cocktail on the menu. And the relationship with the group carries on, across The Dome, Encore and Ryans of Edinburgh.
