BE United is an Edinburgh-based community and creative platform whose mission is to showcase and develop talent, connect communities and inspire discussion, using creativity to challenge social norms.

I have worked with them for the past four years, covering their flagship event, The Motherland: a masquerade ball run in partnership with Sounds of Soul UK, celebrating Mama Africa through live music, DJ sets and showcases of emerging artists.

My coverage spans both sides of the event: the pre-event promo that builds anticipation, and the after-the-fact recap that captures the night itself, the masks, the ballroom and the energy of the crowd.
