Lodges at the Loch Ness

Inverness, Scotland
2024

I was commissioned for a three-day production to capture the real experience of staying at the lodges on Loch Ness, translating the atmosphere, landscape, and sense of escape into a visual story for their audience.

At the time of filming, the site consisted of six individual cabins built in a traditional rustic style, designed to reflect the character of the Highlands. While the architecture embraced an old-world aesthetic, the exterior spaces introduced a modern layer of comfort, with private outdoor hot tubs and selected cabins featuring saunas. The development was also in the process of expanding, positioning itself to welcome more guests while maintaining its intimate and nature-led identity.

The goal was not just to document the property, but to show what it feels like to spend time there, slow mornings, dramatic scenery, and the connection between comfort and landscape that defines the stay. It was an intense few days of filming, working with shifting Highland weather and natural light to achieve an authentic result.

The final video was produced for the website as a key conversion tool: once potential guests arrive through external advertising, the film helps transform that initial click into a booking by clearly communicating the experience the lodges offer.
