El Killo is an emerging artist from Matalascañas, now based in Madrid, with a deep-rooted passion for music and an instinct for storytelling through rap.
Los Duendes is part of Rap Session 5, a series that captures raw creative energy and artistic identity. Shot in December 2025, the production started as a straightforward music video but evolved into something far more ambitious in post. From concept to camera to edit, every stage of the project was handled in-house. Taking inspiration from the song's title and character, the footage was transformed using advanced AI-driven 3D animation techniques, blending live footage with a Pixar-style animated aesthetic to create a world that feels playful, surreal and intentional.
The result is a video that lives between reality and animation, and proves that the most interesting creative decisions often happen in the edit.
DIRECTOR NOTES
The visual concept came from two unexpected places: a recent rewatch of Gremlins and the goblins from Clash Royale, a mobile game my brothers play. Something about the energy of those characters, chaotic, mischievous and weirdly loveable, felt perfect for the song. That mix became the creative reference for the 3D animation style, and once we committed to it in the edit, everything clicked into place.
